AI4Agri Publishes Policy Recommendations for a smarter, greener Agriculture

The AI4Agri project, has released its Policy Recommendations Report, a comprehensive guide to accelerating Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption in European agriculture.

Developed through research, training, and policy dialogue across Poland, Sweden, Cyprus, and Greece, the report identifies key barriers such as rural infrastructure gaps, limited digital literacy, and the high costs of AI technologies.

To address these challenges, AI4Agri proposes five strategic policy priorities:
1️⃣ Investment in rural digital infrastructure
2️⃣ Provide accesible financial mechanisms for AI adoption
3️⃣ Expand modular training and capacity-building for farmers, advisors and VET educators. 
4️⃣ Promote open data frameworks and interoperability
5️⃣ Ensure ethical and regulatory clarity, including data ownership and transparency

The recommendations aim to strengthen the connection between green and digital transitions, empowering farmers, educators, and policymakers to make agriculture more sustainable, inclusive, and future-ready.
