CARE Social Death: Partners' Meeting (Nicosia, Cyprus)
Thursday, 26 Dec 2024 14:50
The first transnational project meeting of the CARE project took place in Cyprus on April 23 and 25, 2024.
16 participants were involved both in person and online:
- SME representatives
- Adult educators
- Psychologists
- Partners of the project
The LEARNING LAB activity was crucial in assisting the consortium and the participants to develop a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon of social death from different perspectives. It sheds light on the profound impact on learning and the working environment of people often referred to as 'socially dead'.
This activity was the first step in understanding the existing knowledge of social death phenomena from different disciplines: adult education, SMEs, occupational health and safety, civic engagement, social inclusion, and psychology. The goal was to develop further solutions to reduce the risk of developing social isolation schemas that can lead to so-called 'social death' in adult learners.
During this 2-day meeting, partners introduced each other and discussed the important aspects of the project as follows:
- General project overview
- Project Management Plan and Project
- Presentation on Activity 1 - 4
- Quality and Evaluation Plan
- Workshop
- Dissemination plan
- Risk management
- Discussion
- Cultural and Team Building Activity
