CAPS Alliance
Climate-Smart Agripreneurship Partnership for Sustainability
The CAPS Alliance project aims to explore the concept and practices related to the Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA), an approach promoted by the FAO, to create favorable technical, policy and investment conditions for sustainable agricultural development, that addresses climate change issues while ensuring food security. This notion will be integrated with the cross-cutting competency of agripreneurship, so that agricultural and CSA practices will be economically viable and sustainable.
In order to address unemployment and the effects of climate change on agriculture in Sub-Saharan Africa, the project aims to support the exchange of information and best practices between European and Sub-Saharan African actors working in the agricultural field, regarding the best and innovative techniques related to climate-smart agriculture and agripreneurship, so as to tighter links between the third countries not associated to European VET systems and labour markets.
