ECOffee: Training in Vilamura, Portugal
During the dates 23-25 April, the partners of the ECOffee project and professionals in the field of coffee and sustainability, gathered in Vilamoura, Portugal to explore the results of the project, while at the same time exchange practices and approaches that could make coffee drinking more sustainable.
The partners presented the ongoing work and deliverables. Most specifically, the Maastricht University provided valuable insights on navigating the e-guidebook, while all the developed Videos were presented to the participants. EILD showcased an innovative smartphone application destined to revolutionize sustainability in the coffee ecosystem.
Briefing of the project
The "Ecoffee" Erasmus project aims to address environmental sustainability within the coffee sector through innovative educational initiatives. It focuses on developing training materials and resources for vocational education and training (VET) providers, students, and professionals involved in the coffee industry. By promoting sustainable practices and raising awareness about environmental issues, the project seeks to foster a more eco-friendly approach to coffee production, distribution, and consumption. The Ecoffee project may include modules on topics such as sustainable farming practices, waste management, energy efficiency, and eco-friendly packaging solutions. Overall, it aims to equip stakeholders with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to a more sustainable coffee industry.
