Meteorological Stations' Installation (Limassol & Paphos, Cyprus)
Ten meteorological stations and two gateways, in conjunction with soil sensors, have been successfully deployed in vineyards across the Limassol and Paphos regions of Cyprus. This collaborative effort involved the Benaki Phytopathological Institute and Zambartas Wineries.
The meteorological stations and soil sensors play a crucial role in measuring soil electrical conductivity and humidity. The data collected is then integrated into a database, facilitating the development of various GIS thematic maps for each field. This process runs concurrently with the utilization of NDVI, plant stress, and parasitic disease indicators. These indicators are derived from the data collected by Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) equipped with multispectral and thermal cameras.
