My Farm: Partners' Meeting (Virtual)

The first partners’ online meeting was held within the framework of the project Multifunctionality Farming (MyFarm) "Multifunctionality in agriculture".

In a world where food security, climate change, and sustainability are paramount, "My Farm" is leading the charge towards a brighter, greener future for agri-food. Embracing multifunctionality, MyFarm is not just about cultivating crops; but fostering rural development, protecting the environment, and creating symbiotic relationships with the local communities. With the latest technologies and a commitment to education, MyFarm aims to reshaping agriculture practices for generations to come. 

Our project deals with the topic of multifunctionality, and this topic is linked at the same time to several European strategies. We all know that United Nations and European Union are putting great efforts to tackle these challenges with a series of policies and initiatives that include the Sustainable Development Goals and in particular the European Green Deal, whose ambitious goal is making Europe the first neutral continent by 2050, with huge investments that, will reduce emissions, support the use of renewable energies and environmentally friendly technologies and support industry in innovation, implementing the green transition in all sectors.

To support the New Green Deal strategies, topics such as renewable energy, organic farming and combating climate change will be covered. Besides the SDGs directly connected with agricultural activities, multifunctionality in agriculture has the potential to contribute to other three goals of the 2030 Agenda: 7 (Affordable and clean energy), 13 (Climate action), 15 (Life on land).
