Smart Agriculture Resource Efficiency
The SARE project aims to enhance the digital and green skills of agriculture professionals through a targeted training programme that supports the modernisation of vocational education.
SARE main objectives are to:
- Develop and deliver a portfolio of digital training tools that improve digital literacy and environmental sustainability knowledge.
- Ensure broad access to these tools for both direct participants and the wider agricultural community.
- Equip at least 30 farmers and 6 trainers with practical digital and green skills through hands-on workshops.
The project addresses three key priorities:
- Digital Transformation: SARE empowers farmers, trainers, and stakeholders with skills in digital technologies such as spatial analysis, sensor data interpretation, and smart farming platforms, building resilience in a tech-driven sector.
- Environmental Sustainability: Training focuses on efficient resource use, reduced COâ‚‚ emissions, and sustainable farming practices, contributing to climate action and a lower environmental footprint.
- Adapting Vocational Education to Labour Market Needs: By aligning training with real-world demands, SARE ensures agriculture professionals are prepared for the evolving landscape of sustainable and tech-enabled farming.
